Welcome to Geography at Formby High Sixth Form

A Big Welcome to Our Prospective Sixth Form Students

On Thursday 27th November between 7-9 pm, we welcome students to the Sixth Form Centre to enquire about studying AS Geography.  AS Geography is taught by a team of established staff and includes studying topics such as Rivers & Floods, Coasts, Population and Health.  We follow the AQA Specification and this allows us to study topical up to date issues.  Students enjoy the course and attend examination workshops, fieldtrips to North Wales and Northern Ireland.  For Autumn Half Term 2015, we are currently trying to organise a residential trip to Iceland.  The subject is growing in popularity and students feel supported, cared for and enjoy their geographical studies.

Current Year 13 A2 Geography students will be available to offer an insight into what the course is like, how the course is taught and to offer an honest opinion on how they find A Level Geography at Formby High School.
