Earthquake hits Northern Italy

A powerful earthquake of 6.0 on the richter scale hit northern Italy last night. The quake was followed by an aftershock of 5.1. Currently 6 people are dead - Northern Italy is used to earthquakes and well prepared for them. The earthquake had a shallow earthquake - the focus was 10km below the surface of the earth.

It is said that in Italy "geology is fooling the geologists" as it has a complicated tectonic picture!
